MCRO at publicaccess.courts.state.mn.us is the primary tool for searching Sherburne County court docket records online. It is free and does not require an account. You can search by person name, case number, citation number, or attorney name. Filter results to Sherburne County to avoid seeing records from other jurisdictions. Each case in the results shows the register of actions, which is the full dated history of every filing, hearing, and ruling in the case.

MCRO has four search tools. Case Search is the standard tool for most lookups. Document Search retrieves public documents filed on or after July 1, 2015. Hearing Search shows court schedule information for cases. Judgment Search is used to find money judgments entered against a specific debtor. All four tools cover Sherburne County cases and are available free of charge.

Older records and restricted case types may not be available through MCRO. Juvenile cases, civil commitment cases, and protection orders are not accessible remotely. For those records, or for records filed before 2015, visit the Government Center in Elk River or call (763) 765-4600. In-person public access terminals at the courthouse give broader access than the online portal.

Note: Do not use MCRO for employment or housing background checks. Use the Bureau of Criminal Apprehension at chs.state.mn.us for official criminal history information.
