The MCRO portal at publicaccess.courts.state.mn.us is the main tool for searching Watonwan County court docket records online. The system is free and does not require any registration. Search by a name or case number, filter results by Watonwan County, and the portal returns all matching cases with their register of actions.

The register of actions is the case history log. It shows every event from the day the case was filed through final judgment or dismissal. For criminal cases, you see charges, arraignment, motions, plea or verdict, and sentencing. For civil cases, you see complaints, answers, discovery orders, and final judgment. For family cases, you see the initial petition, temporary orders, custody decisions, and any modifications filed over time. The register updates as new events are added to the case.

MCRO also has three additional tools. Document Search lets you retrieve specific filed documents by case number. Hearing Search helps you find scheduled court dates for a party or judicial officer. Judgment Search covers civil money judgments and is useful for checking whether a judgment has been entered against a person or business in Watonwan County.

Note: Wildcard searches use an asterisk. Type at least two letters followed by * to search partial names. For example, entering "Jon*" will return Jones, Johnson, Jonas, and other names starting with those letters.
