Go to the case search page and enter a party name or case number. Filter by Dakota County to narrow results. Each result shows the case number, party names, filing date, case type, and current status. Click into a case to view the full register of actions, which lists every filing, hearing, and ruling from start to finish.

Two additional tools are part of the same system. The Hearing Search shows cases scheduled for a specific date. This is useful if you need to confirm when a hearing is set or want to attend a scheduled court session. The Judgment Search lets you look up money judgments entered in civil cases, which is commonly used for legal research or creditor due diligence.

Dakota County also maintains an active warrant list on the county's website. You can check it at co.dakota.mn.us/LawJustice/Warrants. This is separate from the court docket system and is maintained by county law enforcement rather than the court.

Records that are restricted by law won't appear in MCRO. Juvenile cases, sealed files, and records protected under Minn. Stat. § 13.84 are not available in public searches. Contact the court administrator's office if you need access to a restricted record.

Note: Set the county filter to Dakota County when searching MCRO. Given the volume of cases in the metro area, filtering is important to get accurate and relevant results.
